»stook

A word pruned from contemporary dictionaries, stook was in use at the time of Webster's 1913 Dictionary. It means "A small collection of sheaves set up in the field; a shock; in England, twelve sheaves." It comes via the Scottish, from the Middle English, and ultimately through a Low German word.
