Sun announced their Project Blackbox, which will deliver a datacenter-in-a-container. Containers are re-used everywhere, for offices and for stores, for restaurants and for computing facilities. Containers and cranes are ubiquitous in the delivery and construction of our infrastructure, and I always want to point people at a decent, illustrated explanation of tower cranes, the poetic and succinct , metonymy for a growing city.
