Displaying french cut green beans recipe

French cut green beans:


1 1/2 pound fresh green beans
Two medium size potatoes
Two large tomatoes

Two tablespoons cooking oil

Ground coriander (1 tea spoon)
Cumin seeds (1 teaspoon)
Mustard seeds (1 teaspoon)
2 cloves garlic
1 hot pepper(finely chopped)
Salt to taste

Ingredient Preparation Method:

Wash the beans, cut off the ends, and then cut them length wise first, and
then into half
(For French cut).

Peel the potatoes and cut them into one-inch square.

Wash the fresh tomatoes, and dice them into small pieces.

Cooking Method:


1. In a two-quart saucepan, heat the cooking oil.

2. Add 1-teaspoon cumin seeds and mustard seeds.

3. Let it cook for 1 minute.

4. Add the diced potatoes and stir it.

Turn off the heat to LOW and cook the potatoes for six to seven minutes.

5. Add minced garlic cloves.

6. Add the tomatoes, ground coriander, chopped tomatoes and stir the
ingredients for two to three minutes.
Add salt to taste.

Add the beans and let it cook on slow heat for about twenty minutes till the
beans are tender and the potatoes cooked.

Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley just before serving.

Serve with rice and fresh yogurt, carrot.
